- On PBS, we had viewed a documentary on the iron crosses
that exist in South Dakota, Nebraska & Kansas. They were used
by people of German descent who lived in that region.

- In francophone communities, under what circumstances were crosses constructed of iron used instead of headstones made of stone, marble, etc. ?
- Was there a time period during which these crosses were most common?
